It really is amazing how he challenged the Catholic Church, especially during his lifetime when it had significantly more influence than it does today, at least I think so. The greatest individual is someone who is well rounded a person that has influenced societies outside of there own. Okay so yeah no matter what you say, Michealangelo is very influential person and you described it very well. His art shaped the form of Christianity that we have today and that in itself is huge.
